Hey,

sorry this isn't gonna be much help, but it seems to vary massively across consultants. All i know is its mainly a last resort when you have ended up in A&E so much needing nebs that its worthwhile having one.

SOme consultants believe a spacer and lots of puffs of an inhaler is equivalent, others don't. A review probably just means assessing how you're asthma's been and nothing more

hi

I have a portable neb and one at home, my review was just to see how many nebs i need when i do have a attack and check my history to see how many times a month im in hospital, and because they thought it might be best if i had one at home, so when i have a attack ill take about 8 nebs(unlesss the attack is severe) and then if it didn't settle go hospital.

Just tell your consultant you would benifit loads because it saves trips to hospital and it would put your mind at ease.

I don't know if that was any help. Sophie
