Does anyone know where i can get hold of 'tins ' to keep my epi pens in - i previously got them from Kidsaware but now they only do pouches and i already have 2 pouches in handbag so want to avoid another.
Thanks in advance

Hi
yellow cross at yellowcross.co.uk have thick plastic tubes for epipens that can either be put in a bag and have a detachable strap attachment that can be used for carrying. They seemed abit expensive but have lasted a long time.
All best

Thanks for that didn't even know such things existed, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I think the tins in the shape of havana cigars were discontinued because they could be dented and then prevent the epipen being extracted or even damaging it.
the plastic tubes are stronger I think.
I have a pouch from ALK Abello which takes two epipens plus I stuff piriton, 2 x 1ml insulin syringes with 1ml bricanyl ampoules in too!
Kate - you are right about the tins becoming dented as i did struggle to get mine out once do you have a link to the site you mentioned as all i can find is about the actual epi pen.
Thanks Sarah i may well get those tubes but it does work out costly when there is myself and my daughter to buy for.
Does anyone else know of any on line company's that sell similar products that re a bit more teen friendly!!!???
Have found that anaphylactic.co.uk do a meditube for epipens £4.99. Not very exciting but doesnt seem to be much in uk for kids or teenagers. Theres a few sites in US that ship stuff over here, but not sure on shipping costs. They have bright cases with different colours & pictures.
Hope you find something suitable & not too expensive!!
All best

Hops, I have looked at epipen.co.uk and I don't think they make the pouches anymore - I think they were a limited edition thing a few years ago.
I really liked these. They're made in Canada but it looks like they'll ship them to the UK as there is a shipping option. I want one. They're so many nice ones I'm not sure which to put on my wish list...they are soft though so sorry if you were looking for something harder.

I use the toughtubes from yellow cross but without the hangy bit and put in clip pouch. Tough tubes have so far have survived being run over by wheelchair, dropped and retrieved (very embarrassing) from under a train at victoria, and being dumped in sea when forgot were clipped onto belt, yes they are waterproof apparently don't know if meant to be so worth the money to me!
