Hospital having no record of you when an in-patient!

Hello,

Have recently been discharged from hospital, luckily not in too long. whilst I was in a family friend decided to come and visit, but did not know what ward I was on so thought she would ask at the hospital reception, however just got told that they didn't have any record of me being a patient there, so she couldn't visit me and had a wasted trip. Whilst i was in I was shuffled around a few wards (shortage of beds) and was just wondering if anyone else had ever had this happen to them? It really worried the friend because she thought something had happened to me.

Grateful to hear of others experiences

Thanks

Libby
