drs again: been back at the drs to see... - Asthma Community ...
drs again
I know the feeling - was in and out a lot before I got referred, still would be if I thought they could do anything! OOH dr last week too though that turned out to be unnecessary, bit embarrassing.
Maybe we should get loyalty points? Or 'air mile' equivalents?
Hope you get something sorted soon.
i like that idea. The asthma nurse is doing her best and has uped the seretide and changed the devise for my reliver and has given me a spacer
i have to say i feel the same, its as if im never away and its not as if i go for something like a little sniffle. was told yesterday that i had to speak to my doc again today after recent blood tests and yet again had to have a change in medication -my thyroid has gone off again, my liver isnt working properly and have a problem with my liver again- oh the joys of tripe health-wish i was healthy-its quite sad as i try to lead a healthy life style!
its just my asthma i like to be healthy even trying zumba at home. Looking forward to the attack following lol. I have to go back for something else as well
I always feel like I should do one problem at a time - don't like to go with more than one thing in case they think I'm a massive hypochondriac, which I know is stupid.
Luckily, fingers crossed, i don't have anything else to deal with atm except a spine thing I'm seeing physio for. Though breathlessness bad enough. Also feel that as a 25-year-old if I'm waiting for someone to call me it would be nice if it were a fit man and not my respiratory consultant!
Pity we can't get actual air miles for all the visits, how great would that be? Though if you're really bad stressful going abroad. I'm not as bad as some with brittle asthma etc and I'm still worried just about going to London and back this evening on the train!
hi
i am amazed at some of the doctors i see and wonder if they go out with the nurses. At least its a distraction after trying to breathe for hours.
Gill
chest infections again !!!!!
At christmas I had a bad chest, I knew it wasnt my asthma but took my ventolin and seretide a bit more than usual, anyway in the middle of Jan I still felt bad and went the docs he put me on antibiotics I went back after the week and he put me on a different lot of antibiotics, still that didnt work so I went to my asthma nurse and she did a sputum test and the doc rang and said I had to have another dose of different antibiotics, that worked but not for long 4 weeks ago I felt really listless and walking was an effort and I was bringing up a lot of green phlegm(really green ) , I couldnt get into my docs so he gave me antibiotics over the phone, I finished them a week ago my chest is still wheezing and I still bring up light green phlegm, I'm fed up with taking antibiotics and also all the crap I bring up!!! any body out there with similar problems ?????..
Momma91, I'm the same but with sinusitis, also been on antibs since christmas, only had sample tested for sensitivity after the first few lots. No response to my current long course and almost feel worse so now waiting ENT appt. Lungs definately complaining more too
momma91 i feel the same been having lots trouble over last 4 weeks been gp on numerous occasions, put on pred, couple courses antibiotics. last week had cold/flu like symptoms, started coughing up green phlegm which made asthma flare up again, so 3 days ago went to walk in centre with SOB he took one listen to chest and was on phone for ambulance, after having chest xray at costa turns out i have pneumonia,so been in there for last 3 days and just got out today, hope you get sorted soon, and maybe it worth going over to a&e for xray if you not already had one.
