Pred course, a few weeks

I've just been given a prenisolone course starting at 40mg going down to 2.5 over a couple of months. I've had a couple of short courses in the last couple of months which I felt comfortable with but still ended up on antibiotics after both (the second being a gut feel by the locum but made a big difference). However one this long in cold/flu season is worrying me a little.

I'm wondering if people do anything to boost their immune system in this situation?

Hi Tina I have been on steroids for 5 years now for asthma.Dont know any thing for boosting immune system except caring for yourself by varied diet enough rest and jumping on worsening asthma symptoms before you get really poorly.Cant do a lot re being around other folk who have infections.Hope you are better soon ros
