Unfamiliar chest tightness

I developed exercise induced asthma about 2 years ago when I was 40. I take my blue before I go running and I don’t have any problems. But this last week my chest has felt really tight throughout the day. It’s almost as though I have caught a chest cold and have that uncomfortable feeling that a severe cough can bring.

I have neither a cough or a cold and it clears for a while when I go out for a good 4 - 5 mile run (but that’s probably the ventolin and increased cardio).

I will probably give it another day or two and then go to the docs but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this kind of thing.
