hi all,

can someone explain the dial on the side of the inhaler? does it go down slowely (i.e after 4 puffs you can still read the 120 as slightly going down,) or should it clearly read 120, 129, 128 etc.... as im new not sure if goes down maybe in 5's or my inhaler is broken!!

many thanks

Hi Kelwoo,

I'm not on Symbicort anymore so can't check to give you an exact answer - hopefully someone else can. However, I remember when I was on it having exactly the same query and thinking it must be broken and then panicking and wondering if I should take it again and then thinking I might overdose... I spoke to my asthma nurse who explained it - the counter goes down in quite large 'chunks' (can't remember what - maybe in 10s??) so it looks like it isn't moving.

The asthma nurse said loads of people have asked the same so I really think the manufacturers ought to print this clearly in their leaflet as I assumed from reading it that it would go down visibly, in ones.

Hi!

I am on Symbicort and it goes down in....20s. It barely moves at all!

Hope that helps,

Rachel xx.
