Bad Asthma

Asthma attack at work today got sent home. went to see the doctor and got some steriods called: Prednisolone.

Anyone had them before or still on them and are they good or not??

Hi Amy. Prednisolone (steroids) are commonly used to treat inflammations, including asthma. I have been on them on and off all my life and my asthmatic son too. If you type 'prednisolone' into the keywords Search box on left hand side of this page, you will find lots of posts on the subject.

i think everyone who's had asthma for a year will have been on steroids there're not too nicee, but usually work, by asthma isn't too good, so i'm on them fairly often, hope they worlk out for you

hi.I am on pred quite alot as my asthma is not controled.had it for 5 days nearly every other week at times.Hope you feel better soon x x x

they are really common on here and most people will have had them at some point....they usually work well for me but watch for the lovely energy rise and the erm not so lovely weight gain lol...hope you are feeling better x

i've already noticed that my moods are a bit erratic i didn't know that any side effects could happen that quickly but hopefully only being on them for four days won't really do much to me
