Could anyone explain what fragile asthma is? Just getting slightly confused (blamming the nice sunny day!) at the moment between this and brittle asthma... Thanks

Fragile Asthma
as far as i am aware fragile asthma is another term used to explain brittle asthma??
x
When doctors use the term 'brittle asthma' they mean that the asthma can change from being apparently well controlled to being poorly controlled in a short space of time.
This means that the person with asthma may change from feeling relatively well to having quite severe difficulty breathing very rapidly.
People with brittle asthma also tend to be those who have relatively frequent asthma attacks, and in between acute attacks may have ongoing symptoms such as coughing and wheezing which may require quite large doses of medication to keep them under control.
Thank you for the replies, my GP keeps saying fragile asthma when consultants have used different terms so hence me being confused. I am begining to feel that my asthma has been described as nearly every type of asthma over the years... Only wish I could be as lucky and win the lottery, I could do with a spare few millions pounds right now... Where's my wish list....
