Snow drifts here in Orkney... schools and collages shut... loads of power cuts and now storm force 10 predicted for tonight!! Staying close to the log fire ... mug of hot chocolate and candles all around ready to be light again any moment now!!!

Beautiful bright, blue, crisp, and snow white morning in Hertfordshire. Still only 0.7C at 10AM.

There was a very light dusting here in south London but its only in the shade now but temps not gone over 4 . bbbbrrrrrr!!!
