I am doing a fun day at my son's school. We have raffle tickets for sale, a toy leopard that has forgotten it's name, a colouring competition, a poster competition and bug-puss bookmarks and pin-badgers for sale.
On may 6th, we are having a green and purple day and I will also be going the school through out the day doing lessons about asthma and then in the afternoon we will be doing a family assembly for parents to come in and see what their children have learnt about asthma and they will be presenting their work in groups and doing talk about the lesson they had followed by an after school event that is open to everyone when my local newspaper will be coming in and taking photos and doing a report which will then be printed and put into the newspaper.

Radford Primary school gained awareness of asthma
Well yesterday was my big day and I started the day very scared and nervous but it was great. I had so much fun with the children and they really enjoyed themselves too. Today I totaled up everything and I had a target of £150. That target was meet with extra. The total came to £232.47 and I am know in the process of organising my next event to raise more money. But this event wont be anything like the one at school. I am just going to have a stall where I intend on selling bag-puss toys, pin-badges, book-marks, keyrings anything and everything that I can get as well as handing out infomation leaflets about asthma and the asthma attack advice cards. Oh and don't forget the kick asthma holiday leaflets I have. Also the head teacher is re-newing her asthma policy and is going to organise getting AUK to come into school to train all the staff inclusing the mid-day supervisors. A full story with pictures will be sent to AUK.
My 3 year old has taken it upon himself to do a sponsored 3-mile bike ride, wearing a lime green batman costume. He was going to do it in London this week but unfortunately had a really bad asthma flare up (oh the irony!), so he's going to do it in Anglesey next week whilst we're on holiday. I just have to figure a route out for him and make his costume, which I'll do on the long drive from Cambridgeshire to the Isle...... x
Oh no poor little lad. Hope he has a great time doing his bike ride though next week. Can't wait to read about your son's bike ride and how lovely of him too. Good luck little man hope you asthma stops being bad for you very soon
