Broncoscopy

Heya, just wondering has anyone had a broncoscopy at the Brompton?? because i am going into the Brompton soon for one, i was there for 2 weeks last month when i was poorly but now i have to have one of these?

Hi

I have had 3 at the Brompton over the years and while not the most pleasant test they are ok.

They may give you some light sedation(Dependant on your lungs(possible to do without) and local anesthetic in you throat..

A small camera will be passed either down you nose or directly down via your mouth very slowly into your lungs and they look and may take small samples(biopsies depending on what they are looking for)
