hi,
i did when i was on it back in nov 09 i had to switch as i started to get a spasm pain in my throat which i've unfortunatly seem to have kept as a permanent side effect from this medicine. Your better off mentioning it to your doctor.

Thanks!
At least I know i'm not going crazy lol, I reckon I've had the problem about a year or so but until recently I just thought it my imagination but I noticed on the occasions that didn't take my inhaler I didn't get the acid reflux. The annoying thing is, the drug itself works well in controlling my asthma and I really don't fancy changing my inhaler

hi
funny you should say that,I know exactly how you feel. ive had this experience with symbicort and singulair. I recently got rid of singulair as it was causing me a lot of bizarre side effects which i dont think were listed. I used to have a higher blood pressure and a low blood suger problem and then developed side effects which mimic'd diabetes.
I thought i was being stupid thinking im diabetic and what now even at one stage thought my high dose seretide and flixotide were going to make me diabetic. I think the more i singled out my meds one by one i worked out its singulair, when i mention excessive thirst to the gp (after a blood test gave me the all clear) he said it was singulair and that i should think about what would be more benefical 100% asthma control or 80% and remove singulair. I chose 80% and less trips to the loo!
It your choice on what to do. You just have to access how big an issue this acid reflux is and also there is so many preventers out there to try.
Hi Everyone
I have been taking Lansoprazole for for my Acid Reflux for a year now, it made so much difference. I started Symbicort in Jan 2010, and haven't had any problems with Acid Relfux, I take upto 12 puffs throughout the day. May be you should speak to your Dr, who might give something similair which would solve your problem.

Both Symbicort and Seretide can aggravate or cause acid reflux, for some reason it's becoming more of an issue of late, or maybe just being recognised now as a connection, but proton-pump inhibitors like ????prazole will work to control the symptoms. Just go have a word with your GP.
???? was used as there's a lot of similar meds all work the same but end in prazole.
