Feeling sick

I have been feeling sick almost constant for the last week and i went to my Gp and got no where.

Any ideas anyone?

I find drinking flat lemonade works and have even been told that by a doctor once, there is something in it that when its flat stops sickness... it worked for me anyhow!

Me too! I find theophylline makes me nauseous, I get peroids when I am fine then days of feeling sick.

I haven't found a wonder cure sadly. I take domperidone when it is bad. Have you tried any over the counter anti-sickness tablets?

Hope it goes away soon, I hate feeling sick.

I take my uniphyllin at night. That way I sleep thro side effects nausea and palpatations

Don't you normally take uniphyllin every 12 hours?

my GP recommended crystalised ginger which you get in the health food shops and it really helped. Also ginger nut biscuits if you can't stand the taste!

Flat coca cola and other sugar replacements such as corn sugar/syrup, have been used by ultra distance athletes to help utilise energy needed by the body for ultra distance running and to avoid the awful sickness when trying other nutrients, such as proteins, ( typically fried food and pasties!) to help the body absorb sugars more quickly and for the body to continue to work without resorting to the use of self protein aka breaking down muscle for energy.

Ginger is also good both for reducing abdominal inflammation and for feeling more comfortable and warm, if that makes sense?!

Thank you for all your replies, i am on esomprezole, domperidone and gaviscon reguarly for reflux but it was a different thing to this it is actually feeling sick.

I am working my way through your suggestions.
