Well yeat started out so nice, sun was shining, took my son to school and popped into sainsburys, got in car to come home and started an attack, luckliy docs just around corner so stumbled into walk in clinic and got seen stright away, my lovely nurse praticioner was so great as usual, did all the norm and after 2 salb/atrovent nebs started to feel better, bit he knew me better than to say that was it!.
My fab doc came to see me and she was not happy that my chest was still sounding so quiet even after the nebs, gave me antibiotics and 10 YES 50mg of pred, ouch climbing the walls here we come... after an hour or so there I had settled enought to talk them into letting me go on strict instructions to return if get worse... I laughed and walked out saying yeh right !
WRONG: made it 2 miles down the road and the council were cutting the green and verges, massive dose of grass pollen sent me straight back, this time it took another 4 nebs, IV hydro etc and many arguments that I was not going to a&e, reluctantly they agreed and left canula in (I think so I couldnt leave!) and left me in a quiet room, supervised until the meds took affect, with me agreeing that if it went off again I was going in, sighh I agreed!, But after 3 hours and a couple more nebs for safety I was ok enough to go home with my hubby to try and rest at home.
Today I just feel like ive been flattened by a steam roller, I have week to look forward to of 50mg of pred, and then to see GP on wed again, Humm thats going to be a fun day when I have my heart scan and 5 day tape fitted in the morning,,, deep joy!
Really dont know what I would do without my surgery, they are more than brill and go well beyond the call of duty, the nurse and doc both gave up their lunch break to sit with me throughout and I just cant thank them enough, and the fact that they respect my fear of a&e
Hugs to all
