Thanks for everyone who helped me the other day with advice. As I said then, I haven't suffered from asthma for several years so trying to get a grip on things.
Since my last post, I have finished the 5 day course of 8 x steroids (today). I am due back on tuesday to the GP for a review. Since yesterday, and moreso today, I'm feeling even worse. I had an awful night of sweats and palpitations. My heart wasn't beating particularly fast, but very hard and skipping beats, almost thumping out of my chest. My glands in my neck are huge, which keeps happening frequently. The doc at the hospital last time commented how enlarged they were then. They feel worse now. The tightness in my test is much worse, as if I'm being permanently squeezed, though I am not particularly breathless. I was told to call out of hours doc if I felt worse before tuesday, but as I'm not gasping for breath or anything I would feel stupid doing so. I feel like someone is sitting on my chest and won't get off. This has been coming and going since the dreaded swine flu got me 10 weeks ago, but I can honestly say that my chest probably feels worse today than it has all the way through. I also have muscle pain across the front of my shoulders and chest.
Does anyone have any advice? I'm getting so fed up with feeling so ill.
Thanks for listening.
