enjoy the snow.
Hear in the North East of England it isvery cold and there is some snow on the roof tops (a very light dusting) but there is none lying on the ground.
Really good pictures Pete. Pity the snow doesnt hang around very long. I would have loved to have got out with the camera but couldn't risk it as I am recovering from a sprained ankle
We got 2 cm snow in london, my school closed
No snow here. Surgery still open heheh
Nice pics Pete, Well we woke up to a quite a bit of snow in Kent. Several local schools were shut except my kids schools so I was evil mum of the year as I made mine go Driving through the country lanes looked so pretty this am, most of it melted during day but more forcast tonight and tommorow
Snow, what's that? Ever since I spent 3 years living on the equator I have hated it. Before that I was too young to know what it was anyway. It's cold here but snow is a very definite unwelcome rarity.
Snow ???-bah!-bring back the gales and rain its what we are used to!!
Bluejam.
Pete - FAB piccies love the squirrel .
here in Croydon (25 mins from Gatwick) we had about an inch or so of snow but our schools miserable head wouldnt let the kids out to play in it! Most of it has gone but the sky looked very ominous earlier.
Rosie was very happy as it was one of her birthday wishes, on the day she was born it snowed too!!
We've had snow here in Newcastle too, but it's been the very unfun, wet kind that doesn't settle and just makes the world look grey <pouts>
Snow in East Kent still, I've made a snowman (well ice really but kids don't know) it's a whole 10cm high!!!!
Didn't get any snow here...
It's probably scared of Dudley.
Had more snow in North Kent over night, more this morning and then the sun came out and ruined it all! Not much snow left now but only 2c so very very cold
No snow here in South Devon, one of the advantages of living in the most mold parts of the UK. its blooming cold though!
Marmite - cute snowman! I made one on the bonnet of the car a couple of years ago - nearly 30cm tall! LOL
Still had to defrost car this PM as it is north facing!
YAY!, hope redditch gets some, my dogs scared of it! he stands in the snow barking at it in the hope it will get rid. the cat tries to catch the flakes. pretty tho

Snow in The Midlands!!!!!
Got up early and took my 3 sheep dogs round the field. They love the snow, it was lovely. I love the snow but i hate driving in it.
Dogs are tired, my sons off school. Hes been playing with his sledge today. He's had it for 3 years and never been able to get it out the shed until now!!!
Just com back from work for lunch. I think they are going to let us out earlier today........fingers crossed.
We have lots in Essex although a little slushy on the main roads now.
Yes, I dug out the car from under 5cm plus of snow this am, went to Tescos as was nice & quiet like the roads which weren't too bad. Pulled out the tescos car park, got to a round about and the huge pile of snow on top of car slid gracefully down the windscreen in one huge drift! LOL LOL!
Brrrr, nice & warm now. Got a cute blue tit in the garden stuffing beak with fat ball!
snow didnt start in nottingham till 6 this morn and there isnt much left now
hope you are all keeping warm and wrapped up, Hornchurch had a few inches of snow in the early hours this morning and its been snowing / sleeting on and off for the whole day.
just hope it all melts before tomorrow as I have to drive to a hospital to get results of my MRI scans on my knee.
Pete
There is a tiny weeny bit of snow in Scarborough but non up hear in Hartlepool, its just wet!
Its not fair I want to make snowmen! (Wouldn't be able to anyway because my lungs would complain too much but I can dream!)
sorry, I'm boring, I know, but I hate snow. Comes from not even knowing it existed until I was 5, spending my ealry years on the equator.
Doh! no snow here, not fair!
I want to play!
its been snowin on and off since 5 this mornin here in leicester...looked nice from the hospital window...not so nice standing at the bus stop 1st thing this morning

No snow here in manchester, I think I am rather pleased actually!
Tks xxx
It snowed here and it looks amazing outside.
still snowing here coming real thick and fast for the past few hours had to go out in it to feed bunny lungs didn't like that much as well as i am supposed to be picking up cousins from school my neighbour has offered to get them so at least i do not have to go out in it again and get the bus. and i will not have an argument with my lungs!
Thick and fast here in t'West Mids. Settling now, and it's -2 degrees....being completely boring, it's going to be a nightmare getting to work tomorrow.
It's snowing here too in Derbyshire. My car is covered in snow and no Cathbear you aren't boring. I'm worried as well about how to get to work tomorrow if the big snow continues.
But... why do I feel like a big kid and want to get out there and make snowmen or snowballs?!
Friend who lives over where I work just phoned to say that the roads over there are tricky, already cars slipping on the main road. Meh. Some of you may remember I got stuck in Feb this year trying to get back up that main road - not relishing the thought of trying to get to work tomorrow at ALL!
It's just started snowing here in Nottingham as well - it wasn't about an hour ago, when Alex went out, but the roofs are white now. I suppose that's not really news, given that people have already said that it's snowing in Leicester, Derbyshire and Birmingham!
I don't have to go out tomorrow (although Alex does, of course) but I have a hospital appointment on Tuesday - all main roads, though, and only four miles away, so hopefully will be alright. Not relishing the effect of the cold air on my chest though!
Isn't it rather early for snow?
It's all melting to slush here now; won't be around much after the morning at this rate.
It's all gone here now- just lots of cold rain.
at least you guys got snow! I was in stanstead yesterday and it was snowing, and then when i went home to london it wasnt snowing there just rain rain rain rain!
good heavens - I've obviously not listened to the radio much today I had no idea there was so much snow about. No snow here in South Wales, we had fine bits with rainy bits, little sunny bits and then more rain - well it is Wales.
You're all being very brave about the white stuff - I admit it is pretty when its falling but I always have a sinking feeling that its going to make an awful lot of dampness and slushy stuff - ooh a bit eyeoreish - sorry. I am scared of driving in it and just dont like the dampness.
May it all have disappeared by the morning and evaporated to leave a beautiful sunny crisp day.
Sandi
Thunder and lightning here in Surrey. The big, loud type of thunder that makes the building shake!
lots of rain thunder and lightning in london as well! it just stopped raining thougH!
