Kate, it's an excellent book. Have you followed the web link within the volcano experiment section - the video it leads to is quite sensational.

I'll locate my copy of the book later and post the web link so that all can enjoy the chaos created by dropping a tube of Mentos into a bottle of diet Coke!

Wow

My son loved that , does anyone know of a science magazine that is slightly younger than the New Scientist. We were sent some copies to look at it but he found it a little bit to complex. Been trying to find something that is a little bit easier reading. Watches all the things like rough science and documentaries. Got lots of books but I would love to find a magazine that gives him up to date, on going info.
