While we were on hols Chloe had quite a nasty reaction to a peanut(she had never had them b4). Her face puffed up , eyes swelled shut and her lips looked as if she had been having an overdose of botox not to mention she was unable to breathe thro her nose.
Luckily i had piriton and i dosed her up(prob overdosed) and things started to subside and ease.
We have now ben to our GP who has referred us on. What i wanted to know is what will happen from now, i have been thro all this but not until i was a teen so is it the same for younger kids- consultataion , then skin prick tests followed by new meds depending on results or are things done differently??
Also do kids referrals get thro quicker than adults or are we in for a long wait?
Thanks for any replies.
