I can work from home for a while but means sitting at a desk (which I suppose may be ok with the right support). Am I being naive to think I can be back at work on 3 weeks? I work 3 days a week.
What is your experience?

Hi, I would say as you can work from home 3 days a week and will be sitting down, then yes hopefully!
I am retired and 69 , by week 3 last August 22?Wh en I had my THR I was walking without a stick even around the house.
Sitting wasn’t a problem for me, I remember extending my leg to sit down being on the list of things to do and remember. I suggest maybe don’t leave it too long before standing up and moving around to stretch a little .
Hope this helps alay your concerns.
Margaret.
I suggest you ask the team doing your THR I found the nurses dealing with pre operation needs helpful with this. Did they give you a contact number? Have you had a booklet about it all? I did the exercises pre my surgery to get the muscles stronger before. You can't drive for 6 weeks. I suggest sitting down for work at home will be all right, but think getting up frequently, moving about will be important. One for keeping circulation in good fettle and also to keep your mobility in good order.
All the best with your surgery. 😊
Whatever you're comfortable with but bear in mind the first 6 weeks are crucial as not to dislodge the replacement. Also do not sit in a low chair
