hello... New to group.
So glad to hear things seem to be working for you , and so quickly. For some people methotrexate is enough on its own to manage their RA and you might continue to see further improvement over the next few weeks🤷♀️ I was diagnosed about 3 years ago and a flare up meant RA was affecting every single joint in my body (even my jaw) and I had to rely on a wheelchair for a while. I was 57, in full time work and had never had any serious illness before, no history of RA in the family so it really shook me up. Whilst methotrexate helped a little it wasn’t enough to remove all the activity and pain so my consultant tried various combinations over a 12-18 month period.
I now take methotrexate, hydroxychloroquin and inject a biologic drug called Amjevita …. Which seems to be a perfect combination for me 🤞🤞. I no longer have any joint pain or swelling. I get tired more easily and my feet and ankle joints aren’t as strong as they were so I need to be careful walking on uneven surfaces or stairs … but otherwise close to normal 👍 Good luck on your journey 😃🥰
Oh wow!! Thank you for replying to my post... hearing thus give me so much inspiration to believe I can get back to a pretty normal life... im a Vet Nurse who loves her job and works 40hrs plus... I also own 2 rescue Donkeys which I love and adore... the last two years has been awful to evan just keep going!! My choice was give up....Not an option!!! Or try these meds..... thankfully it does seem to be helping.... I hope you continue doing well... yet again thank you 😘
Have you had a marina coil fitted prior to arthritis symptoms starting?
