Bakers cyst

Is a painful swollen calf and ankle for weeks normal with bakers cyst?

I recently had a scan to confirm it is BC and not DVT. calf and ankle bit bigger since scan. Dr says that might be due to cyst leaking?

Any replies much appreciated

Many thanks

Rebecca

Yes, I found Voltarol 2.32% worked wonders.

When mine burst during the night, pain was terrible and my ankle went black.

6 weeks now and all OK again.

Hi Pete

How long did you have BC for before it burst?

Before it burst did your calf swell up and for how long if it did?

I have no visible lump behind knee but it’s definitely inside.

About 10 days before it burst, swelled up more behind the knee just before. At this stage GP was able to feel it. When it burst it travelled down the calf to the ankle.
