Can't seem to find any info about this anywhere else so i thought i would come to you. My experience of Humira physically was amazing felt great pretty much straight away, same with Cosentyx no problems.....physically. I do however feel it has changed me. I'm struggling with my relationship with my husband, i'm not as affectionate, no longer want any physical connection, hugging, kisses etc. Feel down a lot, feel overwhelmed a lot. The change in me regarding my husband is so difficult as we've always been so close and now it's all fallen apart. I feel it has to be related to the drugs because this is when it all began and nothing has happened between us.
Hoping someone can shed some light.
Thank you

I've never taken either of these drugs, but I have known people who have had Humira with none of the effects you are experiencing. I thought this link might interest you. It is an American site, but outlines the side efects of the drug.
I wonder if perhaps the symptoms you have might be related to your disease. Perhaps you could mention it to your Rheumy in case the can prescribe you something that might make things better. The booklet available on this site might also help.
I think the opposite happened with me. The humira did not help with my pain at al but I didn’t have any low feelings so I think affects people in different ways. Keep trying different alternatives asI gave up humira and tried others. Still not got there but I’m not giving up. Don’t you either.
Thanks Suejayne. I'm so surprised it didnt work for you. Worked so well for me. Now I'm in a predicament as to come off it to feel human mentally again and lose my mobility or have it and feel like somebody else. So hard. Will keep going. Hope something works for you soon. Xx
I also tried Simponi , it didn’t help either and currently I am on Cosentyx, been on it for 2 months, not helping so far but it’s got 2 more months to go. I will keep trying.
I'm on cosentyx now and again has helped with joints but not the psoriasis. But still feel the same. I dont even know if it is the medication. All I know is I feel different and it all began with biologics. Would never have gone near them if I knew what I know now.
Trust your gut. I had this experience with another biologic. It cleared my psoriasis but left me with lower back pain every morning and terrible depression. I finally put two and two together, ironically, just as I'd aimed the injection pen to deliver the second monthly dose. I thought, "maybe this back pain and mood are connected to this new med?" Lo and behold, they were. The med cleared my psoriasis within one month of the first injection but I stopped it and both symptoms went away. On the bright side, my skin remained clear for the next year despite having stopped the med after the first monthly injection. The immune system is compliated and.closely interconnected with other organs and processes in deeply complicated and unpredictable ways. My experience with medicinal intervention is essentially like playing a lifelong game of whack-a-mole. I'm still playing, though! Best of luck to you. Trust your gut and don't lose hope.
