Hi just had m.c.j joint fused with locking plate du to arthritis on foot I am a post man getting worried that royal mail will try to make me take I'll health redundancy

I had both my feet done in 2011 and the pain went completely

Prior to that I was in agony it felt like I was stepping on needles

I can understand your concerns with your job but you say you have only just had it done Give it a couple of months and you will be good as new

Please try not to worry

Hi Cat33,

What is the name of your procedure, chielectomy? I need to have surgery to remove excess bone spurs and buildup on my right foot due to OA which is so painful. I was told that I am in denial about m condition and that I will eventually need to address it, time has come and I’m super nervous because I must work and can’t take time off.

I had a big lump on top of foot not a bunion they took it off and fused mcj joint with a locking plate got rid of arthritis in joint but foot riddled with it 13 weeks of work

OP health for royal mail have now classed me has disabled

There are a number of procedures they need to go through to get to that point. If you are a member of a union I would suggest you speak to your rep. I am sure that they we tell you it is a complex procedure and if they do it wrong can end up costing them a lot of money. Keep any correspondence from them. Also if you are sent to Occupational health ask for copies of any medical reports. When you are medically ready you can ask for a phased return etc.

OP health have classed me has disabled with arthritis in left foot never had right foot tested suppose if it's in left it's in right up all night both feet stinging

Only get 20grand
