I had both my feet done in 2011 and the pain went completely

Prior to that I was in agony it felt like I was stepping on needles

I can understand your concerns with your job but you say you have only just had it done Give it a couple of months and you will be good as new

Please try not to worry

Hi Cat33,

What is the name of your procedure, chielectomy? I need to have surgery to remove excess bone spurs and buildup on my right foot due to OA which is so painful. I was told that I am in denial about m condition and that I will eventually need to address it, time has come and I’m super nervous because I must work and can’t take time off.

There are a number of procedures they need to go through to get to that point. If you are a member of a union I would suggest you speak to your rep. I am sure that they we tell you it is a complex procedure and if they do it wrong can end up costing them a lot of money. Keep any correspondence from them. Also if you are sent to Occupational health ask for copies of any medical reports. When you are medically ready you can ask for a phased return etc.
