I would guess that you went years with a painful hip which altered your gait and perhaps put extra strain on the better one. Now you have had the bad hip replaced and during the recovery period your posture and gait will have changed again.

It's possible yiu have changes in the good hip so it's worth consulting your GP but I would also see a chiropractor. You need to have someone assess how you move your body to see whether you have developed habits that are putting strain on the other hip.

Does this make sense ?

My hips were first replaced in 1989, had the second replacement seven weeks after the first, this is not unusual as you tend to be very nervous about using your new hip so pressure is on the other one, since had two more replacements, good luck hopefully your life will change for the better, T
