Hi been diagnosed with PROPIONIC ACNES post my recent THR and pelvic rebuild and am on large doses of anti-biotics for THREE MONTHS, does anyone have any experience of this infection, or indeed any others, this was my fourth THR ( two revisions ) and have had no previous problems, your experience would be invaluable, thank you

Hi Bluebirdanthony - that sounds very uncomfortable, we're so sorry to hear it's happened this time. We cannot comment on recovery, as each individual and each op are unique, but we do advise you on calling your GP or the clinician who consulted the operation, to discuss your concerns with them. This is the sort of post-op aftercare they should be providing and it is always helpful to have their expert opinion on your progress, as they know the particulars of your physiology and can be helpful for you.

Keep us posted on how you get on and we wish you a speedy recovery and all the very best,

Despina
