Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you need a hip replacement. I had a total hip replacement 10 years ago and the operation went really well. I even started ballet dancing afterwards as it really helped the range of motion and strengthen my leg muscles. I was so pleased to have it done as I was in a wheelchair before due to the pain and immobility.

The national joint registry is a really good source for looking into joint replacement surgery. they have produced a guide njrcentre.org.uk/njrcentre/...

Which tells people about hip replacements and includes information about a site where you can check Drs history and outcomes for these procedures.

All the best.
