Has anyone ever experience severe vertigo and tinutus with methotraxate. I have rheumatoid and take 12.5 mg per week

In the last year I've been suffering from severe vertigo. I stopped my methotraxate for 10 weeks. And it went away. Started it up again and after 6 weeks it's all back

I'd would appreciate any advise !!!

Thanks

Hi I refused to take methotrexate due to me already having damaged lungs but I see that dizziness is a side effect of the drug. I would phone your rheumy helpline and ask them. Hope you get some answers soon xx

I am quite interested to read this. I take methotrexate, and I also now get tinnitus. I had not associated the two, but now I am wondering if there is a link.

When I stop for 10 weeks it gradually faded to at least 70%

Then started back on the drug than 6 weeks into it my tinutus came back with a vengeance plus the vertigo. So I stopped again to prove my point. I've been off for 3 weeks now and all symptoms are down 60% and are diminishing weekly.

Will keep you posted
