i am new here, guys i started masturbation at age of 13 and have continued doing it twice or thrice daily till now. now i am 17. i started feeling pain in knees about a year ago and i thought that i would go away when i stop masturbation, now i have cut my masturbation to once in 5 days. i love playing football and that knee pain did not stop me. now i have pain in my knees at various regions but specially at the region below the knee cap, it comes and goes, and i also hear repetitive popping and crackling sounds in my joints specially in my knees and i also have little stiffness. this has really affected my daily routine negatively.please some body help. sorry for bad grammar.

jass1 , sorry you're having problems with your knees. I'm certain of one thing: It has nothing to do with masturbation, which is a common and normal practice and not harmful.

It might have to do with playing football, which can be hard on the knees. Or it might be something else. I'd suggest that you see a doctor who specializes in sports medicine if that is available to you. Or you family doctor would be a place to start.

The sooner you get a diagnosis and treatment, the better, because whatever it is may get worse.

Good luck to you and please keep us posted!
