In an attempt to get my extremely unfit jiggly bits in shape and after lots of research I have found the shortest and funniest 5k run to help raise money for APP.
This looks like so much fun! What a great idea. I'm a bit far from Manchester but would be interested in joining in the running programme if you'd like some distant support!
Hi Jossykate! Well done, that's super that you're getting there! I'll be honest that I've not kept running up much I hoped I would... but I went out this morning and did some intervals. It does make me feel so good going out. Have been feeling anxious this week and being out really has helped. How frequently are you getting out at the moment? xx
I've been trying to go out every other day. Tomorrow is a 20 minute run. Eek! But my husband just had to go back to Brazil (stupid UK government and visa rules!) so even though we're living with my parents, it's going to be a bit more difficult without the hubs on hand to look after the baby!
I just wanted to say a huge thanks for doing this run for PP, well done you!! I daren't try & tackle anything like that myself! If I was going to do a run though I think I'd do that one though! Really good luck, and so brilliant you're doing it for APP.
I think you have told us haven't you? Has Heather, who coordinates fundraising, been in touch with you?
Hi Jossykate, this sounds brilliant fun and an excellent cause of course. I am doing something similar next weekend (eeek!!) I will have to sponsor you too. Here's my link if anyone wants to see it too
I'm too far away from Manchester! But I'm going to run the 5k race for life this year! I have completed the couch to 5k, it's really good. It takes me about 40mins to do 5k
I've just started week 2, so nowhere near that yet!! Good luck with your run!
Well done JossyKate for fundraising and getting fit. I am a cyclist, no runner. Knees are rather wobbly. Nevertheless, wishing yo the best of luck. I find it incredible how people always try to help in one way or another....
