Hi Nikkiox, I can truly say "yes" to every physical symptom you have experienced

as well as every negative thought in the process.

The pressure you are feeling on top of your head as well as could be on the sides,

jaw and back of head, all come from fear of our anxiety which in turn tightens

our muscles. We then get scared once again which causes "fear of fear" aggravating

the first symptoms. Once we start feeding into our negative thoughts, we spiral

out of control.

Muscular tension headaches could also be the cause in what you are feeling but once

again they are based upon tenseness and fear. Once we have been diagnosed with

anxiety, we need to be our own advocates in health care. Seeing your doctor if it seems

like something different. But also being rational enough to understand how anxiety

works in giving us physical symptoms that don't have a health risk.

I got rid of my head pain when I started doing muscle relaxation meditation and

practicing my breathing to reduce my stress. :) xx

Upon wakening, we can experience "morning anxiety". Cortisol levels as

well as Adrenaline are at it's highest at that time. Anticipating a new day

with new expectations can put us in an anticipatory anxiety mode.

Upon awakening is when I do my first meditation of the day. Once again

in midafternoon and then again before bed. Eventually the body learns

to respond to these respite moments. Breathe :) xx

I have MS and have had 2 relapses in which I had "head hug" instead of the normal around the body squeeze. It lasted for so long I had to have a run of prednisone each time to make it go away. It felt like I had a band tied around my head, above my ears, and someone was tightening the band. With that, came the intense head fog that is one of my primary MS issues.
