Hi Miahall,
Yes, have felt that way on occasion - the need to put on this front, so people in the workplace don't treat you like a doormat. I'm not sure I'd term it bravado, but its kind of like a "I'm a confident assertive person, do not mess with me" thing, even though you don't actually feel that way.
