U need to talk to your Doctor. For me when I’m totally stressed out, I can have pains all over my body.

I would say not necessarily......for me it is my age...(52 soon to be 53) and my work environment...having used a 2 way radio for 26 years and weapons training for the same amount of time.....best thing to do is to check with your doctor and get referred to an audiologist....

Haven’t experienced that. But I know stress can make me have tunnel vision where I may not notice or see something I would normally would.

I think it's possible because I've seen people who upon receiving shocking

information about a loved one, can lose their hearing for a while. And then,

just as fast as it left, it may come back. Since we aren't doctors, it is only best

advised by a physician (ENT) or even a (Neurologist) Sometimes our hearing

loss doesn't come from the ear and may come from the brain itself.

Please see a doctor who can examine the situation. My best :) xx

I am 60 and I take escitalopram every day (20 mg). And I have been taking it for years and years. It relieves my depression and I'm not weepy and sad all the time. Everybody is different - it took me 3 tries to find the right medication. But this one definitely works for me!

Thank you for replying. I suffer from severe anxiety. I was really worried about the emotional blunting. I maybe 63 but I didn't want to numb . Are there any side effectsLike numbing or weight gain. Thank you again

No numbing or emotional blunting. Weight gain - not in my particular case. One thing that has affected me is reduced libido. That's bad. If you are taking escitalopram for anxiety, and you don't want these side effects, I would recommend ativan or xanax - even Gabapentin. Gabapentin has helped me a LOT with anxiety. (I only take the escitalopram for depression, and I've never felt that it's helped my anxiety.)
