Welcome to the Forum Tailfin :)Depending the length of time you have been on benzos as well as the
dosage you are taking, sleep will be one of the things you will notice becoming
more difficult.
Whether minimizing or weaning off benzos, it is always safer to do this under
a doctor's guide. The up and down dosages can cause breakthrough anxiety which
even with yoga can not be enough to put forth a good night's sleep.
I was on a small daily amount of Xanax for many years until I was weaned off them.
Slowly and safely under the care of my psychiatrist. The very last dose that was
eliminated was the one before bed.
In place of benzos, I use(d) Meditation and Breathing to quiet the Mind/Body response.
Upon awakening in the morning, mid-afternoon and once again before sleep. I now am
able to go into a quality REM sleep w/o depending on benzos.
