Is it possible to be treated for your pulmonary embolism (PE) at home rather than in hospital. More than possible is it safe?

Yes, anything is possible. However, I would need more information about why you need to be treated at home unless you have already had PE's and been unlucky to have another clot whilst on warfarin or any other anticoagulation therapy. If you can supply more information then I maybe able to offer some non-medical advice about your Theraputic Time Range!

Kind regards

Pedro

I have been treated at home with PE before, but it wasn't a reallty bad one. They put me on Fragmin once daily. I am an American trained RN though. I was only slightly hypoxic at the time and knew what to look for with worsening, etc.

Funny you mention this as I am beginning to wonder if I have another one right now. trying to decide if I need to go get seen.....
