Hi there. No one on here is likely to be able to help you with a diagnosis. My advice would be to see your doctor. It is relatively unusual to be taken off blood thinners after multiple clots so you are right to be cautious about further clotting. Have you had recent blood tests? Blood thinners can reduce vitamin and iron levels which could cause cramps and bruising. But this is just speculation so you need to get checked out. Hope you get answers soon.

I've totally been fobbed off and told ill be fine im young . They didn't do any bloods during I was on them, I've had 1 blood test no idea what for I asked gp if I had a blood disorder test as the Dr said I needed one she couldn't see it on my records . Dr said it was depo injection if I stopped that they'd stop apixaban and then haven't seen anyone since xxI havent got time to sit in a&e for 12hours if its just a bruise lol I have 4 kids and my hospital is miles away xx

I think you need to go back to the doctor. Perhaps ask if there is one that specialises in blood clotting or ask if you could be referred to a haematologist at the hospital. If you are young and were injecting Depo it probably was that which caused the clots but you need advice on what is safe to use instead. I think Depo stays in the system for a long time 6 months or more so you are right to be careful about pains and bruises. Tell the doctor that you have an unusual bruise like patch that you are concerned about.

Thank you! Can u be my Dr u seem to know more lol, ino I seen thrombosis nurse and Dr. Dr was reading My notes 1st time and everything was wrong , 2nd time seen the nurse and she realised someone else notes were in my file! I stopped depo injection October or November. He's told me make an appointment with family planning to get safe contraception, I've just kept off everything at minute to let my body breath.

I'll make a GP appointment to check it out, it doesn't seem it hurt? Which for the colour if it usually they do hurt .

Ino my doctor did a referral too respiratory i think for nodules in my lungs they've fobbed me off and don't want to see me until August I have multiple 5mm and 6mm

But now this bruise got me worried lol , ino ppl say go GP or hospital but I avoid them as much as possible lmao. When I finally went and got my chest checked I was telling myself ill be wasting there time it'll just be anxiety lol xx
