DVT Pain moved leg

Hi

My right leg was scanned for DVT as it was swollen. My left leg had had some pains but they ignored it cos it wasn’t swollen.

I’ve now been on apixaban for 5 weeks and my right leg is still a bit swollen but pain wise is fine as long as I don’t do long or fast walks.

My left leg is now very painful like the right one was initially and only slightly swollen. I wondered if the DVT in the right one is now a lot better so my body has moved to the other leg to sort it out?

I was curious for other people’s experience. It’s very frustrating to have got on top of the pain for it to start up again!

Thank you.

I’ve had several DVT’S and also SVT’S but always in the same leg . Yes they are very painful and as well as the swelling it feels as though your veins are going to burst. Once I was treated with Clexane injections the other times I was started on the emergency dose of rivaroxiban. I’m now on anticoagulants for life.
