What do you mean " incentives". And incentives offered by whom?

Incentives are offered by our service or app. User don’t need to really use the app. All they need to do is register with the service with medication schedule. From then they will get notifications to take medications within the window time. Additionally guardian can track the users progress through the app.

If user uses INR device provided by the app to monitor INR levels, they can get incentives for their medications intake habits.

I would have thought maintaining personal health should be a big enough incentive!

Hi, I’m not sure it’s insensitive, but two things that would make warfarin easier. The advice to take it early evening really only works if you have an evening routine (eg home at the same time, don’t go out, etc - I found taking it at bedtime much easier. Second keep the day to day dose as consistent as possible. Alternating is a nightmare to manage, same dose every day or three then Four days is much easier. Two other things, bring back the 0.5mg tablets, I also found having to take a more vital medicine made me 100% compliant (or at least close to it). Remembering the exact dose sometimes harder, when alternating.

I’m really not sure a gift or prize would help at all. Getting it into your daily routine was key for me.

PS ensure the clinic are giving positive reinforcement, not telling patients off.

Thanks for the info. Can you clearly tell what does the below mean actually?

If there’s an issue with patient compliance it’s very easy for a busy clinician to get impatient, not try to understand why and end up trying to get compliance through pressure (this happens in all walks of life, not just anticoagulants).

As an alternative, understanding how difficult this can be, getting to the root of why (perhaps lifestyle, perhaps fear of the drug or denial of the need as examples). In terms of positive reinforcement its recognition when things have gone well, asking how this can be repeated. Not everyone needs this sort of approach, but if there is an issue with compliance understanding and support may well help.
