Has my DVT Gone ?

I fell for a DVT while doing cycling without paying proper attention to training, hydration and a proper cool down. After taking rivaroxaban for 9 months I was told to stop. My question is has the clot gone or is what I am left with just the collateral damage. My calf doesn’t lock up any more and I can walk 3+ miles without any problems. I still have a swollen area at the back of my knee joint we’re I assume is were the clot was/is and I still get a pins and needles sensation around my ankle joint and small bruising also. When I cycle it feels uncomfortable after 10 miles as the cycling leg action starts to irritate the swelling behind my knee joint. Has anyone experience anything similar?

It might have been worth asking this when you were told to stop taking rivaroxaban! As you didn't, why not book a telephone consultation with your GP and ask their opinion, and whether there is anything in your records. Rivaroxaban doesn't cause the clot to go, as I understand it - only your body and time can do that - but it does minimise the likelihood of further clots.
