I’ve been on Warfarin for approximately 2 years now with no side effects, but at almost the same time I started having to see a Gynaecologist because my private parts were very sore. Does anyone think their could be a connection with the warfarin please?

Soreness
Hi MazzyB, I did begin to have intense itching and then recently some spotting ( haven't menstruated for 25 years) ....could possibly be a connection also with my warfarin. Am to see a gynaecologist.
Thanks for getting in touch, sounds similar to me, I’ve seen 2 Gynacologist’s both hopeless really! It did go away for ages and seems better in a way so hopefully will get sorted. Let me know how you get on Nossib please 😊
Did you experience the intense itching as well( in the vulva area) MazzyB? My doctor said could be a condition called Lichen Sclerosus, caused by over activity of the immune system. But I never had it prior to being on warfarin.
I just had a quick look at your previous posts and we actually share a few similarities, the diabetes 2, the intermittent head pain, water retention, swollen leg, etc, etc....
That’s exactly what I was told! Lichen slerosis! It definitely itched at first then went lots better but started bad again! I did have a water infection though, which was treated. I’m supposed to be going on a tablet for diabetes, really upset as I can’t lose weight even though my husband eats the same as me & looses, in fact he eats more really! (Weight watchers) annoying.
Join the club! I was put on metformin ( 1 in morn, 2 at night after meals) tp prevent me going into full diabetes ( I flucuate) Recently thoug, te metformin has begun to upset my bowel...does it ever stop!! No wonder I hate taking medications! ... and yes, find it really hard to lose the unaccustomed weight I am carrying, also eat far less than my slim husband!
I was prescribed Advantan, a steroid cream for itch but I'm not happy about using it so often.
I also began getting some urinary tract infections....it all does seem similar doesn't it.
I will let you know if I'm told anything more from gynaecologist, etc and you, me too, please.
II must go as really late here in New Zealand . If you wish to continue this conversation more privately , I wonder if we are permitted sharing email address but privately . Should be a 'Help/ queries' part we can ask from .
I'm also a member of the LCHF (low carb high fat) community. Before you scoff at the idea please have a read of this

There is a huge amount of evidence that carbs spike insulin (which fats don't) - and also a huge no of people who have reversed their T2 diabetes by changing the way they eat.
