Eloquis and flying

My mom developed clot in lung 2 yrs. ago. She has been taking Eloquis since then. Her sis just passed away and she needs to take 1 hour And 35 min. flight. The question is would it be wise for her to take this flight.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Yes, your Mum should be fine - I know when I had my PEs, I was told not to fly for three months, but after that it should be fine. I am sure she will sensibly wear compression stockings, keep herself hydrated, and try to get up to go to the loo at least once during the flight.

If you and she are still worried, ring her doctor or consultant and take their advice.

Sorry for your mum lost, I had pe on my left lung, in july 3 weeks later I took a 4 hour flight, I took 2 more in Oct and November I am going on a long haul flight in june, it very important you take your medication, drink at least a 500ml bottle of water every hour and get up and walk up and down on plane, or as I do I go tiolet run on spot for 1 minute, then do 30 up and down on tip toes to stretch calf, when sitting down twiddle your toes stretch a much as you can and do cycling motion,.
