My husband leads quite a sedentary life. We work from home, watch TV and then go to bed! (I do all the running around!) My husband is incredibly over weight, he lives his food. He also has gout, arthritis and high blood pressure.
For many years with the gout he has suffered with swelling in his feet, but recently (3/4 years) he gets a lot of pain in his knees. Now we'd just put this down to the arthritis and weight. 2 days ago about an inch below his knee, started to swell, quite badly. He's taken cocodamol, doesn't seem to be doing anything. I started googling and think (paranoia maybe) that he may have DVT. Now it's Sunday night, gp will be open tomorrow.... Do I panic more and get him to the hospital tonight, or leave it until the morning.... I'm getting very concerned now....he's a very very stubborn man!!! Any advice would be greatly received, thank you
