Had an Ablation in last Dec....everything was 100% good...Have not had an AFIB sicne and feel wonderful...I am back to being my old self...I have been off of Warfrin in the past but when went into another AFIB went back on...Now...since I am feeling terrific and back to my old self and routines...I want to get of the Warfrin...My pg doctor asked me why I was still on it...Cardiologist are iffy...about my going off...but my skin is showing big bruises and blotches...and they look ugly...I would like to just take a baby asprin as I did when I went off before...Am thinking to making a decision this coming Dec. if I am AFIB free that I want to stop taking it....??? Anyone else have a perspective....

Hi,

I used warfarin for two years after my cvst. But came off after we decided it was probably safe to do so.

If you have so many blotches and bruises wouldn't that suggest that your dose is too high ? How often is yr inr tested?

I'd get more medical advice.

Not what you're looking for?
