I am getting quite a lot of limb pain , specifically in or around my thigh muscle. Could this be a side effect of my medication ? I asked my GP about this and only got a shoulder shrug yet it is mentioned as a possible side effect in the medicine's leaflet inside the tablet box. Any replies would be appreciated. Thank you

Side effects of Rivaroxaban
I have been on rivaroxiban twice over the last couple of years but apart from feeling a bit nauseous have had no problems, but as you say your symptoms may well be a side effect. Your GP should be more diligent in addressing this with you. I would go back to your GP, or a different one.
I had a knee replacement in March, April I was rushed back in with a pulmary embolism and put on rivioxaban, maybe for life, lately pain seems to be getting worse instead of better, in muscles at the back of knee and leg, wonder now could it be rivioxaban, I'm sure after this time I should be more mobile than I am.
Snap! I have post thrombotic syndrome and take gabapentin for this but I have increased pain in the legs but I have spoken to my consultant regarding certain side effects and was told that rivaroxaban doesn't cause these side effects, I have been on it for 3 years due to the fact they couldn't source phenindione (was allergic to warfarin) but maybe if more people were to state their side effects to the drug they would listen, I think some people are scared to say they have side effects in case they are taken off the drug, but I would go back to your GP and ask to see a consultant maybe they can explain what's going on, good luck
