Rivaroxaban side effects?

Recently suffered a DVT and am on Rivaroxaban. Possible strange (but not troublesome) side effects - my penis seems to be in a state of almost semi-erection a lot of the time. It also appears to be slightly fatter than usual. Is this just a result of increased blood flow? Anyone had similar issues?

As a female I've no idea and a quick look online didn't come up with anything at all on the topic. You might mention it to a medic in passing next time you are having a consultation as, even if it's not troublesome or even welcome, it might possibly be related to something that's not to be encouraged. Probably not but it would be good to hear some kind of explanation based on anatomy and a well-informed medical opinion!

Thanks Callendersgal. It’s not causing me any great negative issues and I’m not really worried about it - more curious. But you make a good point about it possibly being related to something less welcome, so I’ll seek reassurance.

Thanks folks. By way of an update; went for a checkup with the doctor and she doesn’t think it’s related to the Rivaroxaban but is as a result of the general swelling from the DVT which is focused on the upper thigh, groin, and abdomen. It has started to subside as the swelling is going down.
