Hello

I am new to Warafin and currently have a test every week. In the morning. I currently do not eat or drink anything prior (except water). However, I am on many other medications for my IHAP and normally have a small breakfast. Can any one tell me if you can eat before the INR Test please.

Thanks

Its important to eat and drink 'everything' you always have done before going on the warfarin... including taking your other meds.

If you don't, you can easily get a false INR reading. Keeping to your regular diet, whatever it is, is important!

Eat, drink and be merry (no alcohol). The only time you fast is if you have blood tests for any other reason, the info will be provided.

Enjoy.
