Hi higgy52,sorry about the a/f
When I first experienced a/f I was put on a digoxin drip for 3 days and then I resumed normal, sinus rhythm again. Some while later it occurred again and I asked the same question but was advised that reversion back to a/f after medication or cardioversion was common in more than 50% of cases. I don't think you have much to lose by trying again but don't hold up too high expectations of it being permanent. If you are stuck with a/f however make sure that you get on good anticoagulation medication to minimise the risk of an eventual stroke. All the best and do let us know how you get on.
Thanks for your help PBirt, People i know have had cardiovertions and not worked for long.
Some one i know had afib, and had cathator ablation 15 years ago and heart is beating normal
to this day, might b to exspensive for nhs to do co we get the cheap cardiovertion.
I had pulmonary vein ablation eight years ago - no AF since! RonP1
