We are a team of researchers based at the University of Birmingham with a strong track-record in research on DVT, PE and anticoagulation. We are developing proposals for a large research project on the identification and prevention Post-thrombotic Syndrome (PTS) – our proposals include a large trial of exercise and compression stockings for the prevention of PTS.

We need ideas, opinions and input on the design of the programme of research on innovative ways to involve participant representatives in the delivery of the trial.

We would love to hear the views and opinions of people who have recently experienced a DVT, as well as those who have been unfortunate enough to develop Post Thrombotic Syndrome after having a DVT in the past.

We propose an initial meeting on Wednesday January 28th 2015 12-2pm at the University of Birmingham we would cover travel expenses and provide lunch and refreshments.

Those interested will be invited to have ongoing involvement in the programme as it progresses, but ongoing availability is not an absolute requirement of attendance!
