B12 and Memory Loss Reversal? Is There Hope?

Hello all.

My 70 year old mother was recently diagnosed with a B12 deficiency at 188 pg/ml. I brought her to a neurologist to get tested for dementia and Alzheimers, but the insurance won't cover an MRI until her B12 was tested.

She has been showing memory deterioration for years, stopped driving about a year and has little to no short term memory.

Now that she is getting B12 injections, IF it's reversible, when will we start seeing results? She just received her 3rd shot, and its been 2 weeks since she received the first. I have not seen much improvement in memory but her energy is back-- could memory take months to return/improve or is it just not going to work for her?
