I've been to see Cardio and he has put me on 10mg Cardicor (was7.5) and prescribed Losartan. (I'm also taking Warfarin). Anyone got any information on Losartan. I'm not very happy about the increased dosage or having to take something new. I have looked up Losartan and read all about angiostensin, but would like to know what people think about it.

I am also on Losartan and HCTZ for my BP and AF. I feel quite well on it. It does not have the side effect of great fatigue that the beta blockers do. Hopefully you will feel well on it too. I've been on it for the past 7 or 8 years.
I was prescribed Losarton by my cardiologist when first diagnosed with AF. I didn't get any side effects and have heard of many people who take it to their advantage. Go with it. Good luck all round with your condition.
I was originally on candesarten but switched about a year ago to losartan which is a cheaper version when my BP went up as a result of having hormone implants post prostate surgery. I've not noticed any side effects. My consultant EP put me on candesarten as he said it would give my heart an easier time. The doseage relationship between the two is not linear as 8mg candesarten became 100mg losartan.
